Environmental Training is Essential

BlueScope Steel Environmental Principles make clear the importance of environmental training. As our Principles state: Training all employees to raise their environmental awareness is essential.

A number of BlueScope Steel operations have developed their own Environmental Awareness and Training programs.  For example, in New South Wales nearly 3,000 employees and approximately 80 per cent of contractors have undertaken environmental awareness training.

In line with the Environmental Principles, a project has been launched to develop an integrated, corporate Environmental Awareness program. The project team will build on existing regional initiatives to develop and deploy a portfolio of training materials appropriate for BlueScope’s geographically and culturally diverse workforce.
